Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Ssalongo Mugeni Godfrey Gusinja
It is with heavy hearts and deep solemnity that the family of the late Ssalongo Mugeni Godfrey Gusinja announces his passing, which occurred on Saturday, the 6th of June, 2026, at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Born on the 1st of April, 1948, Ssalongo Mugeni Godfrey Gusinja lived a life defined by faith, integrity, and dedicated service to others. He was a man of humble character and tireless work ethic, whose presence was a guiding light to his family and community. As they mourn his departure, they remember him not only as a beloved father but as a person whose kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the honor of knowing him.
They hold fast to the words of Job 1:21: “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord”.
Funeral and Burial Arrangements

Friday, 12th June 2026
- The body will be collected from Mulago Hospital at 7:00 a.m.
- A vigil will be held at their home at 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, 13th June 2026
- Speeches are scheduled to commence at 12:00 noon.
- A church service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
- The final burial will take place at their home in Butemula Village, Lunyo Sub-county, Busia District, at 4:00 p.m.
